In addition to the legal affairs of this diversified company, David Handelman was responsible for government affairs. He was with the company from 1974 to 1994.

David Handelman is a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Police Department Memorial Foundation, and is also a member of the board of directors of the KCRW Foundation. Previously he was a member of the board of directors of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
